Let’s talk about Burrata!

Burrata is a fresh mozzarella cheese made from cow’s milk that is filled with cream and shreds of mozzarella called Stracciatella! It has a very soft and creamy texture…and tastes of fresh milk. 😍🥛

Burrata comes from the province of Bari, where it has been produced since the very first decades of the 19th century and is one of the most traditional products from Puglia!
If you have never tasted a cheese straight from the source and the region that it comes from, now is the time you should! 🇮🇹

This video is from my last trip at @cucinainmasseria (our home base for our puglia tours) where Nico, an expert cheese maker, is making burrata in Mola di Bari, Puglia.

I love Burrata as it is, one delicious slice with some fresh bread from Altamura (that’s another post entirely!) to soak up the cream. Heavenly is an understatement. 🌟
